Description

WAM Engineering has been advancing turntable setup since 1994 and many of their tools are the only ones made of their type anywhere in the world. They are passionate about helping you to apply the mathematics, geometry and physics behind vinyl playback to allow you to START FROM CERTAINTY on your analog setup.

Proper azimuth alignment is one of the two most impactful setup parameters for vinyl playback optimisation. Unfortunately, many tonearms do not offer the ability to adjust the azimuth angle for your cartridge. Why is it unfortunate? Because few cartridges are at their ideal azimuth angle when the cartridge is level in the headshell.

The ideal azimuth angle for your cartridge is essential for maximizing stereo separation between left and right channels. Once this ideal azimuth is dialled in you will enjoy the widest, deepest and tallest soundstage with pinpoint imaging and the best instrument separation you can possibly get from your cartridge.

The WallyFulcrum tool has the following features:

  • Allows easy and precise azimuth adjustment on ANY tonearm
  • Control azimuth angle in as little as 0.25° increments
  • Precision made with highly rigid material to offer a solid union between cartridge and tonearm
  • Makes your tonearm a TRUE azimuth tonearm. Unlike most tonearms, changes to azimuth angle while using the WallyFulcrum will NOT also change your stylus rake angle

Mark H, England
After a few days of listening, I can confidently say the sound improvements of the azimuth adjustment made possible by the WallyFulcrum are quite profound. *Every* album I’ve played, whether it’s an old one I know well, or a new album I’m hearing for the first time sounds so much more focused and the soundstage so deep – it has really opened up the recording, bringing an increased sense of dynamics, vitality and reality to the performances. Great stuff.
